How much does it cost to rent an RV?
Base pricing varies upon seasonality and includes up to 3 nights, 300 miles, 9 hours of generator usage as well as the cleaning & prep fees; additional nights may be added. Pickup time is between 12-3pm on the start date of your reservation. Return time is by 11am on the end date of your reservation. Unit pickup & return dates are Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, during the allotted times. Should you need to return the unit outside of normal business hours, you are able to do so, however your rental will continue through to the next business day.
What if I need more miles than what is included?
For each night of renting a coach, you get 100 travel miles. We accumulate the mileage throughout the whole trip. If you do go over mileage, each additional mile is 0.39¢.
Do I need Insurance?
Insurance is not included in the pricing above but as the renter you have a couple of options.
1st and Best Option: Would be to contact your auto insurance provider and see if they will extend coverage to an RV Rental, as it is better coverage and usually less expensive. We will provide you with the RV information upon confirmation of the rental. (The binder will need to be VIN specific and list Happy Campers RV Rentals as additional insured with coverage of 100/300/50 for the duration of your rental.)
2nd Option: Purchase insurance directly through our insurance carrier, MBA Insurance, via their website or upon arrival at our office the day of reservation. Rental insurance purchased through MBA Insurance has state minimum coverage with a $1500 deductible.
Is there a deposit required to reserve an RV?
Yes, there is a refundable $1200 security/damage deposit required to reserve an RV. This deposit holds an RV for your reservation and then becomes your damage deposit during your rental, it also covers additional day, mileage, generator usage, fuel, lost items, any traffic violations, tickets, tolls, etc. Your deposit will be refunded within 10 days after your return. Deposit will be refunded back to the card taken at the time of the reservation, unless otherwise instructed.

When is payment due?
The actual cost of the rental will need to be paid the day of departure. Payment can be made by credit card, cashier’s check, money order, personal check (paid a week before departure date), or cash.
Do I need a special drivers License?
No, you must have a valid driver’s license present at the time of departure and be at least 25 years of age. Additional drivers will need to present a valid driver’s license and be at least 25 years of age.
Is it difficult to drive an RV?
No, driving an RV is similar to driving a large SUV, it isn’t difficult it’s just different. Extra care is expected when driving a RV.
Are there any other additional fees that will be charged?
Aside from extra miles and extra generator hours used there are no additional standard fees. The unit must be returned with a fill tank of fuel to avoid being charged a fee for us to re-fuel the unit for you.
Can I take the RV to Canada or Mexico?
Travel to Canada is allowed. Travel to Mexico is prohibited.
Are pets allowed in the RV?
We are pet friendly, there is a one-time fee of $125 allowing dogs to join you during your adventure. We do ask that when you return the unit there is no sign of a pet (smell/odor). If pet is not mentioned and evidence is taken there was one inside the rental, the fee will be applied/deducted from the deposit.
Is smoking allowed in the RV’s?
We DO NOT allow smoking of any kind in our rentals, it is strictly prohibited.
Can we tow behind the RV?
For precautionary measures, we allow towing of boats and trailers but do not allow for vehicles to be towed behind our RV’s. Towing is permitted with pre-written approval by Happy Campers RV Rentals as the gross weight does not exceed the vehicles towing capacity and maximum weight limit.
How many people can ride in the RV?
The number of occupants should not exceed the number of seat belts equipped in the unit.
Can I park my vehicle on your lot during my rental?
Yes! You may park one (1) vehicle on our lot free of charge, however, we are not responsible for any damage or theft. For added security our entrance gates are locked after business hours but your vehicle will remain accessible 24/7.
Are you allowed to use the roof for storage?
We DO NOT allow roof storage or walking on the rooftops on our rental units. They are not equipped for the additional weight.
What time is pick up and drop off?
Pick up will be the day of your reservation, we can make appointments between 12pm-3pm. We do ask that when you pick your rental to allot 1 – 1½ hours for us to go over the RV and any questions that you may have.
Drop off time for the RV is by 11am. We request that you have it here before or by that time so we can get it ready for our next client to be able to enjoy their adventure.
Do you deliver an RV?
If you are needing the rental to be delivered to you and/or picked up by us, we can pre-arrange that at the time of reservation for an additional fee.
